The video begins with Mary G. Russell, DTM, talking during the leadership breakfast. Next we see Rodger Cota, District Governor and a brief clip of Helen Blanchard, the first woman to ever become a Toastmaster. Blanchard eventually went on to become the president of the entire organization.
Then we see clips from the Speech Evaluation contest. The purpose of this contest is to evaluate a model speaker’s presentation, then contestestants leave the room for five minutes to prepare an impromptu evaluation of the speaker.
